Hi, I’m Zachary A. Bohlman. I’m a Minneapolis-based freelance multimedia journalist/stringer, photographer, and videographer. I am available for local or national assignments specializing in high-stakes on-the-ground reporting.

My path to journalism wasn’t a straight line. It wound through two decades of experience that included law enforcement training and service in the military. Along the way, I learned a crucial lesson: the truth is often buried under conflicting accounts and confusing information. I understood it takes patience, discipline, and rigorous verification to dig it out.

I earned my master’s degree studying journalism and international relations at the Harvard Extension School where I sharpened the tools I need to share those truths.
